ZERO TOLERANCE TO CRIME AND ONLINE DEFAMATION

The University has been alerted about a recent post on social media. The perpetrator falsely claims that “marks are being sold at the University of Zululand”. The identity and twitter handle used by the perpetrator is known to the University. The University is reliably informed that one of those spreading the information is a former student who was expelled from the University.

The University has established a whistle-blower hotline that can be used to report any malfeasance and acts of corruption perpetrated within the University. The University has adopted a zero tolerance stance to all acts of criminal conduct, including the spread of disinformation. The University is held in high regard by its peers. In an effort to safeguard its image, the University will take all the necessary steps to deal decisively with those engaged in misleading the public.

Further the matter has been referred to the SAPS for investigation.

  1. This is quite the situation at the University of Zululand! It’s crazy that someone would falsely claim marks are being sold. Good for the university for taking a zero-tolerance stance.
