CHE REVIEW WILL NOT AFFECT LAW STUDENTS AND GRADUATES

Students who have graduated from UNIZULU Law Programmes will not be impacted negatively by the recent announcements of the Council on Higher Education national review of the LLB qualification and the University will continue improving upon its reputable LLB programme which has produced fine and world recognised Alumni in the practice of Law.

The Council on Higher Education conducted a national review of the LLB qualification and raised specific key concerns that require improvement by May 2018. The University is addressing the raised issues in serious light and with immediate effect. As part of working collaboratively with the CHE it has a scheduled a stakeholder engagement session in December to ensure that the Institutional improvement plan is responsive and deals spot-on with the issues raised.

In 2018 the University will be continuing to enrol the first year cohort of students as our LLB programme remains accredited and the institution will ensure preservation of this legacy. It should be emphasised that the University received a notice of withdrawal of accreditation not a withdrawal.

Issued on behalf of the University of Zululand Management.
