The department of Physics at the University of Zululand is thrilled to host the National Institute for Theoretical and Computational Science (NITheCS). This summer school is jointly organized by NITheCS and the Centre for High Performance Computing (CHPC) .
The coding summer school will take place from 30 January until 10 February . The aim of the summer school is to expose postgraduate students to UBUNTU operating system for scientific programming, introduce them to python programming and its applications in data analysis.
Format:
Live lectures will be conducted via zoom/teams platform with the attendees in one location and instructors online. The learning material will be provided on Moodle.
There will be Daily lectures and interactive tutorials
The lectures will be shared by a team of NITheCS Associates and international experts
