Achievements recognition for UNIZULU Students

The University of Zululand (UNIZULU) was pleased to welcome back representatives from Telesure Investment Holdings on March 4, 2024. This esteemed organization has been a valued partner in supporting students’ academic journeys.

Telesure Investment Holdings first joined forces with UNIZULU in 2023, generously sponsoring seven deserving students. They selected students from BCom Accounting, BCom MIS and computer Science. Their commitment continues in 2024 with continued support for five students.

Delivering his presentation, David said that the board wants the partnership to continue, “There are plans to expand and get more students on to the programme. Currently we have about thirty students. We guarantee employment. The students that are withini this programme will transition to the work readiness programme.” Explained David

We are particularly proud to share that two of the students sponsored by Telesure Investment Holdings, both from the accounting discipline, have successfully completed their undergraduate studies. They will be continuing their academic pursuits at other institutions for their postgraduate degrees.

In Recognition of Excellence, UNIZULU   won the best university within the Historically Disadvantaged Institution programme.

The dedication and hard work of our students are truly commendable. Notably, two of the sponsored students, one from science and the other from accounting, have been recognized for their outstanding academic achievements in 2023. These students ranked higher than their peers from other institutions who received the same bursary, a testament to their exceptional abilities and the impactful support provided by Telesure Investment Holdings.

During their visit on March 4th, representatives from Telesure Investment Holdings had the opportunity to meet and greet UNIZULU’s management team, as well as the Heads of Departments (HODs) of the academic programs where their sponsored students are enrolled. This interaction fosters a stronger connection and allows for continued collaboration in supporting the success of our students.

UNIZULU deeply appreciates the ongoing commitment and generosity of Telesure Investment Holdings. Their support empowers our students to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

The Sponsor has been doing well in supporting these individuals. As a results two students will receive an achievement recognition award because they were top performing in 2023, ranked higher than other Institutions that also received the same bursary. One student from SCIENCE and the other from accounting.

Telesure also promised more opportunities in supporting the University in terms of infrastructure  besides funding the students.
