Economics lecturer bags small role in local drama series

The multitalented Thamsanqa Mtshengu will make his debut appearance on Etv’s drama series, Smoke & Mirrors on 12 October 2023 at 9pm. Mtshengu is a lecturer in the Economics Department within the Faculty of Commerce, Administration and Law. He is also a professional actor, vocalist, and entrepreneur. In this popular drama series, what is fascinating is that the artistic lecturer plays a character which is the total opposite of who he is in real life. Adding to his accomplishments, Mtshengu will also feature in a Netflix series alongside local and Hollywood actors, starting February 2024. He also features on other Netflix and Mzansi Magic productions which he cannot mention at this point. Mtshengu only entered the local film industry in March 2023 through the Becky Casting Agency and his growth is rapid.
