UNIZULU GRADUATION CEREMONIES A BEACON OF HIGHLIGHTS SHOWCASING STUDENTS SUCCESS
The University of Zululand (UNIZULU) graduation ceremonies commenced on Monday, 13 May and the final session will be on Friday, at 2pm and they are a showcase of positive student platform and excellence in the student walk journey of success.
In a distinguished manner the University welcomed the 2019 cohort of graduates who are receiving their postgraduates qualifications, certificates, diplomas and undergraduate degrees at the gigantic Bhekuzulu Hall. The qualifications that the graduates are receiving are a gateway to a brighter future.
During the 2019 graduation ceremonies UNIZULU is conferring and awarding degrees and diplomas to over 4000 students.
The graduates are drawn from the four faculties:
Faculty of Education 1400 students are graduating.
Faculty of Arts over 1000 students afternoon and Wednesday. Faculty of Commerce, Administration & Law will graduate around 1000 students on Thursday and finally on Friday Faculty of Science and Agriculture over 700 students will seal the 2019 ceremonies.
Graduation ceremonies all over the world are occasions for acknowledging and celebrating achievements and success. They are formal occasions with a festive mood. They are auspicious occasions that mark years of determination and effort of students. This graduation reflects your success in taking the great strides required to earn your qualifications.
In celebrating the student success the University leadership wishes to thank all graduates for choosing UNIZULU as the vehicle to achieving academic excellence. In responsive to the everchanging landscape the University is not only investing in the physical infrastructure at both the Kwa-Dlangezwa and in Richardsbay campuses, but serious efforts are being made to invest in the well-being and in the professional support of our staff and students.
Graduates are urged to remember that the zest for knowledge is a lifelong pursuit therefore therefore students are encouraged to pursue post-graduate studies at this University as it is destined for growth and greatness which put it on par with our counterparts.
Graduates are also urged to always remember people that have supported them during their studies, this include lecturers who showed them the way; sponsors who helped fund their studies and especially their parents, families, guardians and friends who often gave personal sacrifice to provide the best education possible for them.
We salute the 2019 class of graduates as it further demonstrates the fact that the University in the first instance exists for the development and education of its students and for that we are grateful for well trained, educated and motivated staff members, both in administrative and academic units in the University.
