Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025 Sub-Saharan Africa

The office of the Vice-Chancellor and Principal Professor Xoliswa Mtose at the University of Zululand (UNIZULU) hosted a partnership engagement meeting with the Huawei ICT Executive Director and his representatives to launch partnership with Huawei which took place on Friday, 18 October 2024 at the HP-1 Laboratory.  The engagement was aimed at informing students doing ICT at UNIZULU about the Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025 Sub-Saharan Africa. All the executive management of the University were among those who honored the initiative.

In her welcoming remarks, the VC welcomed her esteemed guests, the Executive Director of Huawei and his representatives, the Executive management of the Varsity, the Faculty Staff, Academics and students. She explained the reason for the Huawei visit to Varsity.

“The reason for them to be here today is the cry that I made in the previous conference of Huawei, where I said’ We might be using all of your resources and technology that is so high and so well recommended in our institution, but our students do not know about you,’” said Prof Mtose.

To provide students a thorough grasp of the syllabus, Huawei was given the opportunity to present and go into detail about the Huawei ICT Competition.
