Ulundi twins, Siyabonga and Sandile Sibiya graduated with their Drama degrees from the Faculty of Arts on 16 May. The pair auditioned for SA’s Got Talent at the Olive Convention Centre in Durban on their 26th birthday on 18 May and qualified for the next round. Their dream is to open a performing arts academy in Ulundi to develop youngsters who are passionate about drama, dance and music. The talented twins have kick started their musical careers as Kwaito duo, Twin B and have written three songs. Having been raised without parents and despite additional setbacks, they were determined to succeed against all odds. They are the first members within their family to qualify with degrees. “We dedicate these degrees to our grandmother who has ensured that we become respected people in the community,” said Sandile.
Siyabonga said: “We found courage in people who did not believe that we will make it because we come from a poor family. We have and will continue to prove them wrong as we are currently doing our Postgraduate Diploma in Education.”
