Prof Tewari appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Administration and Law

Prof was Tewari appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Administration and Law on 01 January 2014.
He obtained his Masters and PhD degrees from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. His doctoral work was on estimating impacts of rising energy prices on Saskatchewan agriculture in Canada. He has taught at various institutions; namely, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) in India (a premium management Institute in the country); University of Natal and University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).
Prof Tewari has been a Visiting Professor at the HEC Business School, University of Montreal in Canada; at the School of Economics, University of Shangdong, China. He has served the UKZN in the capacity of Deputy Dean and has successfully convened two international conferences during that period.
Professor Tewari has published widely in national and international journals. His areas of interest include: natural resource economics, forestry and water economics, energy and financial economics, educational economics. He has published in journals like Water Policy, Energy Policy, Journal of Quantitative Economics, Water International, Water SA, Canadian Journal of Agricultural Economics and so on. He has also written books and research monographs.

Prof Tewari thus brings a variety of expertise to the University of Zululand.
