Ongoye Online: Message From The Editor

We are delighted to bring you the second edition of the Ongoye Online. We are really encouraged by the feedback received from all our stakeholders. Once again we would like to extend our gratitude for your continued support in notifying us to suitable and enlightening institutional advances at UNIZULU. In this issue, you can read about our recent event where we hosted the South African President Jacob Zuma where he was honoured for his contribution to society, politics, academia, South Africa’s governance and freedom.  The event, also attended by His Majesty; King Goodwill Zwelithini, reminded us that institutions of higher learning such as UNIZULU have a critical role to play in moving this country forward through education and skills development. We should pride ourselves for having the leadership that puts education as an apex priority. Your attendance and support for this event made it a success it was.

We also just returned from the Easter weekend.  We hope that you enjoyed the short break with your loved ones and also used this opportunity to reflect on the significance of Easter and shared with them the spiritual and faith revival to rekindle our moral values to society.

We would like to congratulate our staff and students who will be graduating on 12-16 May 2014.  We are proud of your achievement and success.  Keep up good work.

We hope you will enjoy this issue of our Ongoye Online. Again, please feel free to email us at CMD@unizulu.ac.za should you wish to submit any upcoming event announcements or if you want to submit an article.

We will continue to value your support and contribution to improve on this publication and make it a must read.
