Infrastructural plans tabled

Massive infrastructural changes are underway at UNIZULU as the Office of the Vice Chancellor tables the proposed infrastructural plans for the KwaDlangezwa and Richards Bay Campuses. University of KwaZulu-Natal Prof of Architecture, Ambrose Adebayo recently met with Prof Fikile Mazibuko to present new architectural and construction plans which are estimated at R320m.

Concerted efforts were made in 2012 to raise funding for the critical infrastructural priority projects including building a Student Centre, new residences, a multipurpose and agriculture building. Prof Mazibuko said these critical projects will make a significant contribution towards the achievement of the UNIZULU’s mission, in providing a student centered environment that encompasses living and learning spaces and increases research and graduate output. The infrastructure overhaul is also aimed at catering for the needs of the students with disabilities.
