Dr Dlamini-Zuma voted South African of the Year

Dr Dlamini-ZumaUniversity of Zululand alumna and AU Commission Chairperson Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma has been voted the South African of the Year at the South African of the Year Awards
She had been nominated for her excellent work as a public office bearer and champion of democracy
The Award came with an amount of R250 000 which Dr Dlamini-Zuma donated to the Thusanani Foundation, a youth-based organisation, which is committed to promoting training, and education and bridging the education information gap between township/rural and urban kids.

In a statement she said this was is in line with her strong conviction to support the youth training and skills development. “If sustained progress is to be made on the development of our continent, especially in light of the realisation of Agenda 2063 – The Africa we want, we must embark on and support the skills revolution,” Dr. Dlamini Zuma said.

The University of Zululand is proud of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
