We in the Department of English contribute modules to a number
of programmes and we offer our own degree within the general BA
(with a dual major option) for students who wish to specialise.
Basic academic reading and writing skills are needed by all students
of the University, and so we teach modules at first-year level
which aim to develop these skills. These modules are used by many
programmes in Commerce, Law and Science to enable students to
improve their communicative abilities. If you are interested in
teaching English but also want to have other career options open
to you then the following degree is for you.
